On the estate
Putt-Putt
A proper landscaped course through the fynbos. Putters and balls from the concierge.
On the estate from the estate
Not a strip of astroturf behind the kitchen — a full course laid through the gardens, green after green between rock beds and river stone, with aloes, birds of paradise and agapanthus along the edges and the Kogelberg standing over the last few holes. Free, open to everyone staying, and the best half hour on the estate with children in tow.
What to do there
- Collect a putter and balls from the concierge
- No booking — just turn up
- Watch for the spurfowl; they walk the greens as if they own them
- Best late afternoon, when the light comes through the aloes
Worth knowing
- Ask the concierge for the current hours
- Flat the whole way — fine with a pushchair
